A Page view is when the complete page is counted. A hit is when one item on the page is downloaded (ie: a picture). So one page view is a more accurate way of telling if someone viewed all the content on a page. Don't be fooled by websites that promote page views, and then put every ad on every page. This is also an incorrect, and mathematically erroneous way to count impressions for an ad. There is no way to guarantee that the ad (your ad) was the one viewed when the page came up because your ad could be 30 ads down the page out of the scrollable view area. 1 PAGE should equal 1 AD. |
